Archeological - Ethnographic Museum Complex Gala was created on the initiative and with the direct participation Foundation. Heydar Aliyev.
In the museum complex in the open air are collected and reconstructed buildings, housing the ancient inhabitants of Absheron, and restored scenes of their life and occupation. There is also a rich collection of archaeological finds, rock paintings, and handicraft production.
The museum complex occupies a total area of 1.5 hectares and is located in the historic village of Gala, where lies the unique monuments of scientific, historical, and artistic significance. In total, the village of Gala presented 216 monuments. Here are 5 mosques, three baths, four ovens, houses, agricultural buildings, graves, tombs, burial mounds, the remains of a fortress, etc.
