Heydar Aliyev Center is a cultural center, projected as a complex structure that includes the Auditorium (convention center), a museum, exhibition halls, and administrative offices. The project center has been designed by renowned architect Zaha Hadid. Heydar Aliyev Cultural Centre is considered to be one of the symbols of modern Baku.

On the first floor of the Centre the exhibition "Masterpieces of Azerbaijan" is presented. It demonstrates unique exhibits reflecting the inexhaustible natural wealth, the long history of the country, and its cultural heritage. This exhibition draws attention as a modern interactive means to study the history and culture of Azerbaijan. One of the main features of the exhibition is that it presents all periods of the history of Azerbaijan, and demonstrates exhibits relating to different areas of Azerbaijani culture.

Thus, the exhibition includes unique examples of ancient crafts; in particular the Azerbaijani carpet weaving school, A special interest is the demonstration of copper products. Ancient Azerbaijani musical instruments are presented in the original - the sound form.

The exhibition presents traditional clothes and old coins. The attention of visitors is attracted to the holy books of different religions, representatives of which live in Azerbaijan, the exhibit is known as space tolerance.

This museum contains more than 800 works by Azerbaijani artists.

Teze Pir Mosque which is also known as Taza Pir Mosque is an important heritage mosque in the capital city that was constructed between the years 1905 - and 1914. The complete idea of building the mosque as well as financing it was provided by an Azeri Philanthropist named Nabat Khanum Ashurbeyov.

It is one of the very first religious constructions as well as popular places in Baku where a white stone was used. The chief architect of this mosque was Zivar Bey Ahmedbayov who designed the interiors in accordance with the Muslim designs of the East.
