Day 1: Arrival in Baku

Arrive at Baku International Airport. Drive to the hotel. Check in and enjoy some free time.

Nizami Street is a large pedestrian and shopping street in downtown Baku, Azerbaijan, named after the classical poet Nizami Ganjavi. The street's history can be traced back to Baku's town-planning project of 1864. The street runs through the city's downtown from west to east. Nizami Street is home to various outlets, from banks to fashion stores, and is one of the most expensive streets in the world.

Fountain Square is a public square in downtown Baku. The square is a popular gathering place, especially after business hours and during weekends. It is an attractive tourist destination with many boutiques, restaurants, shops, hotels, and passageways. It starts from Istiglaliyyat Street and the walls of Icheri Sheher and stretches through Nizami Street, also known in popular culture as Torgovaya Street, running parallel to Baku Boulevard. Fountain Square is a location where the city authorities hold many public festivals, shows, and celebrations.

Overnight in Baku.

Day 2: Qobustan and Baku City Tour (B)

After breakfast, proceed for the Qobustan Tour.

Excursion to Gobustan. The Gobustan geographical region is situated in eastern Azerbaijan and borders the southern slope of the Greater Caucasus ridge in the north, the Pirsaat River in the west, the Harami and Mishov mountains in the south, and the Caspian Sea and Absheron Peninsula in the east.

Gobustan is an archaeological reserve in Azerbaijan, south of Baku, in the Garadagh and Absheron regions. It represents a plain located between the southeastern slope of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range and the Caspian Sea. Part of the area is a cultural landscape featuring rock carvings spread across approximately 537 hectares. The monuments of Gobustan are divided into two groups: 1) petroglyphs and 2) ancient sites and other structures.

Later, we will explore the mud volcanoes located close to the Qobustan Museum.

After exploring Gobustan, we will visit the old and modern parts of Baku.

Overnight in Baku.

Day 3: Baku – Shemakha – Gabala – Sheki (B)

Breakfast at the hotel.

Depart for the Caucasus Mountains in the northwest of Azerbaijan. The dry landscape around Baku gives way to a densely forested mountain area. Visit the town of Shamakhy and its largest mosque in the Caucasus, the Juma Mosque, as well as the Shirvanshah Tombs, known as Yeddi Gumbez.

Gabala is the heart of northwestern Azerbaijan. The country's most beautiful district is known as a tourism paradise. The distance from Baku is approximately 225 km. Gabala is located in the Haftaran-Alazan Valley and is surrounded by the Greater Caucasus Mountains. It sits on the right bank of the Damiraparan River, approximately 900 meters above sea level. Touching the Lahij Mountains on one side, Gabala is situated in the northwest of the country at the foot of Shahdagh Mountain.

In Gabala, the largest open-air amusement park in Azerbaijan, Gabaland, is spread over an area of 16 hectares. Visitors can enjoy family, children's, and extreme attractions, an ice arena, go-karting, sports fields, an XD theatre, convenient parking, and a variety of food at restaurants and cafés.

After the tour, we will visit Tufandag Teleferik Station, which operates during both summer and winter.

Sheki is one of the most famous and ancient places in Azerbaijan. Situated 700 meters (2,297 feet) above sea level, like an amphitheater surrounded by mountains and oak forests, this ancient city was long famous as a silk center and an important stop along the Great Silk Route. There is an assumption that the name of the town goes back to the ethnonym of the Saks, who reached the territory of Azerbaijan in the 7th century BC.

We will start our Sheki tour by visiting the 18th-century Khan's Summer Palace, which features magnificent frescoes and exquisite stained-glass work.

Overnight in Sheki.

Day 4: Departure (B)
